i really think that, if you really wanted money, you would do what i do in this case.

i save up all my blue-purp-gold salvage items, and i check the trader once ive got a few. if the items on a salvage item are worth less than the item itself with the runes on it, i sell it. if not, salvage the most expensive rune off it and sell.

the trader prices are fine. can you tell me why you salvaged a superior mesmer rune off something rather than taking the 300-400g you get from the item itself?

If the HP loss where removed from PvE, superior runes would be really superior...

And 55monks would completely banish, XDDD.

But that's not the case, and with some attributes it's better the Health than the extra stuff.

Before posting anymore of your 'fix this' crap, learn how the game works. It is working as it is intended to work, nothing is broken. If it was broken, then you post it in the BUG forum.

PLEASE STOP POSTING SUGGESTIONS UNTIL YOU LEARN HOW THE GAME WORKS!

Yea, I use Superiors on my necro, mostly because the lowered health is actually a good thing when I'm using saccing spells.

It is very rare that the extra +1 to an attribute is worth the -40 hp a sup gives you over a major. In fact, the lack of an hp penalty is exactly why minor runes tend to be more expensive than the others. Regardless, if you look at things like sup death magic runes or some sup monk runes, you'll notice they are more expensive than, say, a sup run of earth prayers, since they are more in demand.

Anyway, the price is dictated by what the market will bare. If you want, start buying up all the sup runes and see if it help (but I doubt it).

like phoenix said sup runes aren't necessarily better at least not the +3 attribute ones

for instance minor dagger mastery is worth more then sup dagger mastery cuz sins use minor rune more

supply and demand

The reason they're only 10 gp is that no one wants a Virtuoso's Insignia (especially in PvE) and no one in general wants a Pyrebound Insignia, and no one wants a Sup Fast Casting... ever.

Sup Axe Mastery might have a little demand every once in a while, more so than the other things, but, still, not much at all.

Basically, learn2economy

Trader prices are based on supply and demand. The fact that the prices are low is because the merchants have been inundated with runes from players. When the supply from the players drops, the merchants pay more for them. Would you complain about low rune prices if you were buying runes to equip your heroes, or new sets of armours?
QFT and /notsigned. With ID kit and expert/superior salvage kits in game and assloads of runes dropping as more and more players go farming, you're going to see all but the high-demand runes drop in price.

Look at it this way: unless you're going for something high-demand like vigor, you rarely pay over 1k for a rune. Isn't that nice?

games economy is much better, when npcs sell and buy stuff at fixed prices ....

How about this thought I had. With the exception of Vigor runes, instead of prices change how about color. The Minor runes could be changed to gold and Superior changed to blue. The color based on the hp penalty instead of the + attribute. Because the HP penalty or lack of one is what the real determining factor people use. I know it would be kinda of "backwards" since it's been this way from start.
